Our history started 3 generations ago with James Weldon “Turk” Hardin breaking out in the oilfield as a roughneck for Delta Drilling company. Getting his nickname from a Turkish style hat as a little boy. People quickly gave him the nickname “Turk” which stuck with him throughout his adult life and was well known throughout the oil patch.

Through hard work and long hours in the field, Turk made a name for himself as one of the best drillers in the area. His son and CEO of Tomahawk Energy Services, Jeff Hardin, grew up working summers in the field with his father and brothers as a teenager and quickly made a name for himself just as his father did. Moving on he worked for many oilfield services companies to eventually taking on the role for Halliburton’s bit division, Security DBS, as the American Southeast Operations manager for the company for many years working out of Houston, Texas.  

Fast forward to today, Jeff and his son-in-law Shane Campbell had the opportunity to start their new venture naming the company Tomahawk Energy Services. Tomahawk is the main supplier of Halliburton’s premiere line of drill bits and services in the Permian Basin, one of the largest and best-producing oilfields in the world. Still growing they currently have over 10 employees consisting of executive managers, field sales agents, warehouseman, and billing and inventory administration.
